Hot Plate, Heat Lamp, and Gases in Between

You are sitting on a hot plate (Geothermal).

There is a heat lamp pointing down at you (Sun).

There are gases in between the lamp and the plate.

Mainstream climate scientists believe the surface temperature can only be explained by the heat lamp and the gases.

Yes, it “must” be the gases that make it hotter than what the heat lamp alone can do. It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the hot plate.

That’s the retarded world of the greenhouse effect and its faux climatology we are living in. Luckily, readers of my blog know better:

  1. Hi Zoe,
#1: I was pointed to a trough of data from US SurfRad —
    ftp://aftp.cmdl.noaa.gov/data/radiation/surfrad/
and USCRN @ NOAA (many datasets)
Well, I’m too old to learn GnuPlot or any other nifty apps and I wiped all my old tools from my computers after retirement (yes, there are some fools who may believe in copyright and licensing…;(
There are some very useful data about soil temperatures at 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100cm depths; it would take me ages to make any sense out of it, so perhaps you could look into that?
#2: Are you using the free-bee version of wordpress web? If yes (I’m too cheap to pay for anything;), do you see any issues re privacy?
    Hey, thanks for considering these.

    1. I’m still using the freebie version of wordpress. I don’t see any privacy problems, but I don’t know what those could be.

I can’t use soil temperature since those are obscured by the sun. I may utilize them when I get to surface boundary physics.

I have privately analyzed SURFRAD, but I can’t fully decide what can be learned from it. I will reveal some of this in time.

      Thank you for the suggestions.

  2. The heat plate puts out 87mW/m2 (0.087W/m2) average over the Earth (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth%27s_internal_heat_budget), vs incoming solar (the heat lamp) between 100 and 1000W/m2. Or to [put it another way, we get 47TW total from geothermal and 137,000TW from incoming solar, so the Hot Plate is 0.03% of the heat. Not quite negligible, but pretty close. And of course that rate has changed (decayed) only very slowly (from a peak of about 200TW) over 4.5 billions years, so you really can explain climate change entirely from the heat lamp and the gases, ignoring the almost constant, and _very_ small, hot plate.

    1. Thank you very much for demonstrating the irrelevance and inappropriateness of conductive heat flux.

Planck’s and Stefan-Boltzmann’s Law is derived from radiation oven experiments where the conductive heat flux was nearly 0 W/m^2 (i.e. thermal equilibrium), and yet nearly 0 W/m^2 is not what emerges!!!

You can figure out your mistake by reading my excellent article:
